Tyler Technologies Announces Student Transportation Payment Management Solution

Versatrans® Pay to Ride helps school districts assess student ridership fees

Tyler Technologies, Inc. (TYL) today announced the general availability of Versatrans® Pay to Ride, a payment management tool for school districts that must assess ridership fees. Demand for the Pay to Ride solution has grown recently as some school boards have decided to charge ridership fees to students’ families as a way to help offset district transportation costs.

From managing accounts to making payments, Versatrans Pay to Ride provides the tools necessary for schools to easily manage billing, invoicing and payment processing without creating additional administrative burden, all through an intuitive Web-based interface for school districts and the families of their students. Pay to Ride offers multiple payment options, including PayPal™ and credit and debit card payments. Parents can also pay by cash or check through an administration terminal accessed by district personnel.

With Pay to Ride, enrollment plans are customizable and districts have the flexibility of charging by quarter, semester, full year -- whatever suits their needs -- and may also charge based on a flat rate or a per student basis. Additional plans can be added for fees associated with transporting students to and from activity and sports trips.
