MYOB US, Inc. Announces its New AccountEdge 2004 Network Edition for Small Businesses on the Mac

y announced MYOB AccountEdge 2004 Network Edition, which is scheduled to be released for Mac OS X in early Spring 2004 and will be demonstrated at Macworld Expo San Francisco.

MYOB AccountEdge 2004 Network Edition is optimized for multiple users to simultaneously work over a Macintosh Network. It contains all of the small business accounting and management features found in AccountEdge 2004 including payroll, professional time billing, robust contact management, and an integrated suite of online business services, such as credit card processing and direct deposit.

The Network Edition uses Rendezvous, Apple’s implementation of Zero Configuration Networking, to greatly simplify installation by automatically locating AccountEdge company files on the local network. This makes finding and opening available AccountEdge files a snap as the customer does not even need to know the IP address of the Mac on which the company file is located.

MYOB AccountEdge 2004 Network Edition for Mac OS X is priced at $599 and includes five seats; more can be added as needed. The company files created by the Network Edition are fully compatible with MYOB AccountEdge 2004 for Mac as well as MYOB Plus for Windows, allowing users to send their data to their accountant, regardless of the OS that the accountant uses.
