Client Server or LAN? Have It Your Way With ALERE Accounting Version 4.0

TIW proudly introduces ALERE v4.0. This latest version of ALERE Accounting is a true Client Server (CS) package that runs on the Microsoft SQL Server 2000 platform. Now you can get the security of SQL tables and the product speed that is necessary to support companies with large numbers of users and very large data sets. One code base is used to support the LAN and CS products for extra stability.

In addition to all the innovative features that have distinguished the ALERE Accounting system up to this point, version 4.0 embodies many notable new features and enhancements, several of which are enumerated below.

The Key Change Utility in the Manager Module allows you to make changes to company ID, company location ID, item number, payment terms or product class and then merge that information from one company, location or item to another.

With the new Sales Graph Tabs for the Executive Advisor and Sales Inquiry, you can display important sales information for a range of dates in a variety of 2D or 3D formats. The Sales Inquiry Graph has extended options to provide greater informational detail. Both graphs may be set to daily, weekly or monthly resolution and optionally be compared to the previous period year. Both graphs have editable chart attributes like color and perspective.

The Mass Payments process conveniently combines the approval of multiple payments and the printing of matching checks on one screen, under one menu option.

The Log of Activity is a new inventory function that gives you the ability to view all the ins and outs of inventory by document type, locations, items and companies.

With the GL Posting drill down, you can view the actual general ledger posting simply by double clicking on any line on the GL Posting tab.

New XP-style screen button icons are now standard to give ALERE an updated appearance. If you prefer, the “Classic” style of buttons can be substituted. Another appearance enhancement are the new side bars that clearly indicate whether you are using LAN or CS. Finally, for easier reading of long lists, alternate lines on grids are now a light green.
