SYSPRO Is Double Winner At Start Magazine/IBM Business Awards
COSTA MESA, Calif. – August 18, 2005 – SYSPRO, a leading producer of enterprise software, announced it came away a double winner at the 8th Annual Technology and Business Awards Ceremony held August 09, 2005, by Start Magazine in cooperation with IBM Corporation.
The awards presentation at the Hard Rock Hotel in Chicago marked the seventh year in succession that SYSPRO and its customers have been winners of the Start T&B Awards, which recognize end-user companies and their suppliers for visionary technology that helps to resolve business challenges. Patrick Sedillo, segment executive, Industrial Sector, Small & Medium Business, IBM Americas, handed out the awards.
SYSPRO customer, Lakeshirts, Inc., was named winner in the Consumer Goods Category, and commensurately, SYSPRO and its reseller RT Enterprises were recognized as the suppliers of the technology which is enabling Lakeshirts, a full-service screen print, embroidery and dye works company, to successfully compete in the highly competitive promotional marketplace. Lakeshirts sells and produces products for resorts, golf and corporate entities. The company uses SYSPRO software for all accounting and production scheduling. In addition, Lakeshirts has achieved very dramatic time and cost savings through the implementation of SYSPRO e.net solutions, one of the first component-based architectures to leverage the Microsoft .NET Framework. SYSPRO e.net solutions has enabled Lakeshirts to automate processes to reduce labor costs, enhance accuracy and achieve dramatic time savings. In fact, using SYSPRO e.net solutions, Lakeshirts has cut order entry time from as many as three days to a matter of minutes.
