AccuFund, Inc. releases Grants Management module for accounting suite providing organizations with a central location for grant or endowment related data.


AccuFund's Grants Management module provides a single location to store all information about grants and endowments received or grants provided to other organizations. The module includes standard and user-defineable fields and records for all types of information. It is directly linked tot he General Ledger for financial data and scanned images can be attached to grant records.
 
 
Needham, MA – September 13, 2006 – AccuFund, Inc., provider of financial reporting and accounting software for non-profit, municipal and government organizations, today announced the availability of its Grants Management module for the AccuFund Accounting Suite. The Grants Management module provides users with one location to manage all their grant information, including financial data, funder reports, demographic data, notes and historical information. Users can easily access all their grant information and track the status of a grant without looking in multiple locations.

“Too many organizations manage their grants with spreadsheets or desktop databases, which can create twice the workload and increase the likelihood of errors and omissions in the reporting,” stated Peter Stam, president of AccuFund, Inc. “With the Grants Management module integrated with the AccuFund Accounting Suite, they can easily coordinate all the information they need for efficiently managing their grants. Grants Management is fully customizable to allow organizations to configure it according to their specific needs.”

The Grants Management module offers various screens for financial status, basic grant information, tracking/reporting, and task management, all of which can be added or changed as needed. Screens include customizable drop-down lists and the ability to add fields and manage multiple entries, such as a record of each grant report submission. All screens can track the history of activity for a grant application and enable modifications to the history, if necessary. Scanned images of grant reports, filed forms and other documents can be attached to grants for on-line viewing or inclusion in reports.

The financial status screens may be tailored to allow each user to obtain the information they require and provide roll-ups to budget lines for individual grants. Drill-down to the account level is supported, allowing views of the activity associated with each entry. Financial status screens are linked directly to the AccuFund Accounting Suite’s General Ledger, ensuring all information is current.

With the Grants Management module’s reporting capabilities, users can add or change fields and columns, combining instances from multiple screens. Each grant can have its own definition of the level of revenue and expense detail reported, summarizing accounts from the General Ledger utilizing the AccuFund classification functionality. Grants Management provides “Quick Report” functionality, enabling users to print screens to paper, PDF, email or Excel.

Availability
The AccuFund Grants Management module is available in both the Standard and Professional editions of the AccuFund Accounting Suite. The cost is $1295 or $1695, depending on the edition purchased.
