Paragon Consulting Services, Inc.'s municiPAL® application software suite is an integrated financial management system for local government and school system use.
It was developed to meet Government Accounting, Auditing and Financial Reporting (GAAFR) standards, including the National Council on Governmental Accounting (NCGA) and Government Accounting Standards Board (GASB) restatements, which currently includes Statement 34.

municiPAL® is an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system designed to improve decision making and workflow by increasing productivity in areas such as budget preparation, financial reporting, purchasing, cost accounting and billing.

Our software uses a common relational database and interfaces at the account posting level, eliminating duplicate data entry. municiPAL® is a multi-tier client/ server system (separate business, presentation and database logic) that combines the longevity, power and reliability of the IBM iSeries with the flexibility and presentation capabilities of PC based applications and coding languages running on Microsoft’s Windows platforms. In simple terms, we use programs running on Windows-based PC’s to display data that is stored and processed on the iSeries server.

Our software comes with a full warranty, initial training, extensive documentation and help desk support, and the Paragon team is available for additional consulting or implementation services at a defined hourly rate during and after the warranty period.

Our team includes individuals with extensive experience in financial management software and computer technology as well as a vast array of other of business processes and disciplines.

We provide senior level staff to solve broad scale data processing problems. Custom modifications or enhancements to the systems are available. Also available are senior level consultants to provide you with advice on accounting standards to assist with workflow analysis.
