Keystroke POS software development began in late 1986, for a computer store in Jackson Hole, Wyoming which was owned and operated by Specialized Business Solutions (SBS) company President, Michael Gebb.

Michael found a need in his retail store for a comprehensive, effective inventory control and point of sale system. A computer store's operations should, after all, be automated by a computerized business control system. He located and tested several POS systems that were available at the time, decided none of them performed to his expectations, and began developing his own point of sale software that later became Keystroke Advanced POS.

Michael and Dana Bargell incorporated SBS in Long Beach, California in June of 1988.

In 1995, SBS expanded when Dana and David Hunsinger opened the new Dillon, Colorado office location.

Keystroke Advanced POS (as well as Keystroke Point Of Sale and Keystroke Express POS) continues to be marketed by SBS as an easy to use, inexpensive, and full-featured retail store management system. For both new businesses and for replacement of less capable POS systems, Keystroke Advanced POS has all the bells and whistles you'd expect in a reliable retail store solution that will remain valuable for years to come.
