Hi everyone -
I was doing a google search on the .imp file format for Simply Accounting and ended up in this thread. I have a question which I hope someone can help me with.
I am working with a .imp file from a client and attempted to import it into Simply Accounting Pro 2005. The file format looks valid according to what has been discussed in this thread. However, the issue the client is having is that the columns are not lining up properly, i.e. the customers are not lining up in the right columns. How does Simply Accounting know that a line is associated with a particular customer? The client also says "Same problem for the items being "sold". They aren't lining up with the items in the Simply database."
Here is a sample (company info has been changed)
"9001","1"
"ABCDEFGH","209 P.O. Box PO BOX 209","","TORONTO","Ontario","N0N-1T0","","(519) 845-0529","","(519) 845-0728"
"4","SLX-1025","28-06-2004","23-04-2004","9409.07","0","GST","0","1","7","0","PST","0","0","8","0"
"30001242","4","418.70","1674.8","GST","0","1","7","117.24","PST","0","0","8","133.98"
"30009358","0","596.60","0","GST","0","1","7","0","PST","0","0","8","0"
"30015183","12","527.65","6331.8","GST","0","1","7","443.23","PST","0","0","8","506.54"
"30017115","2","87.60","175.2","GST","0","1","7","12.26","PST","0","0","8","14.02"
This was literallyh pasted. Does it appear to be the right format? am I missing a comma or something somewhere?
regards
