I often thought about commissioning someone to update the program. I have wondered several points.

1. Is it legal to "copy" an existing (but abandoned) program?
2. What would be the cost of a programmer to do this project?
3.Who would then own the source code.

Are others interested, both from a programmers and a users perspective?
