Good Morning!
I am so happy to see that I can still get support for OWP! My boss recently purchased me a new computer for work which runs Windows 7. I backed up my data installed the program on the new computer then retored the data with the back up disks. Everything was running fine, I thought....when I tried to print a check it would not print. I checked the reports they printed fine. The upgrade of this computer was long overdue as the old computer I was running OWP on ran Windows 98! Windows 7 has a troubleshooter that will automatically try to fix problems with older programs running on Windows 7. I ran the program and wala the checks printed. I printed checks all day long, and to my extreme dissappointment the following morning I could not print a check and have never been able to print since even after running the troubleshooter again. I am hand writing hundreds of checks and loosing valuable time. The error messages I receive when trying to print a check are as follows in the order they pop up:
Embedded Component::load fr
Error reading font.
I hit OK and the following 4 error messages pop up:
Database field has not been deleted:
CKJRNLVW.TR_OID, use count = 0
Database field has not been deleted:
CKJRNLVW.TR_DATE, use count = 0
Database field has not been deleted:
CKJRNLVW.VN_NAME, use count = 0
Database field has not been deleted:
CKJRNLVW.TR_AMT, use count = 0
after clicking OK through all of these it says
Special Variable field has not been deleted:
Page number, page number, use count = 0
and the final message I receive is as follows:
A file necessary for printing could not be found or is corrupt try reinstalling.
So I have been running like this for months and don't see reinstalling if it means I would loose data, are there any other options?
I do not know if this has anything to do with this problem, but when I restored my information I did not realize there was a check that was entered with no check number so it was showing not printed. After restoring I entered the check number manually and saved it. It saved fine with no errors but thought it could have something to do with the problem. I look in OWP and find no CKJRN***.**-*** files.
I would be happy to call and pay for the support, if you can help.
Sincerely,
Janet
