Red Wing Software Releases CenterPoint Payroll Version 4
Custom Report Designer and Advanced Employee Pay Tracking
Red Wing, MN – September 26, 2008 – Red Wing Software, Inc. announces the release of CenterPoint Payroll Version 4. The new version provides greatly expanded reporting flexibility, advanced pay rate tracking, and enhanced support capabilities. Version 4 also provides tools for faster setup and streamlined reporting processes.
The new report designer in CenterPoint Payroll features fly-out tabs which allow users to choose, add, edit or remove fields on reports, and to immediately see the affects of those changes. Users can change the way columns are displayed, how reports are grouped and sorted, and how the report is filtered. Once edits are complete, reports can be named and saved for future use. A new Favorites tab has also been added to reports, so users can group reports the way they are used in their organization. For example, folders can be created for all reports that print at month, quarter, or year-end

A new advanced employee earnings setup option enables employers to use the same earning code with different pay rates by department; a function typically found in much more expensive payroll programs. This feature brings CenterPoint Payroll to a new level, by adding the ability to handle more complex payroll requirements.
With the new Remote Software Support tool, and as permitted by the customer, Red Wing Software Support Technicians have the ability to remotely access a customer’s computer, which in many cases will shorten the time needed to diagnose and resolve customer questions. Other changes include streamlined installation and registration processes, new mass entry of beginning leave balances, the ability to make mass leave adjustments, and other tools to reduce the number of clicks and steps necessary to perform critical tasks.
