UBCC Announced Multiple Enhancements to Workers Compensation Feature
in Their Payroll Service Bureau Technology
9999 Workers Compensation Codes Available Per State and CSV File Import/Export Feature Added
October 27, 2008 – Taos, New Mexico - Universal Business Computing Company (www.ubcc.com) announced multiple enhancements to their workers compensation feature in their payroll service bureau technology. UBCC has expanded the number of workers compensation codes to allow for up to 9999 SIC (Standard Industry Codes) per state. UBCC has also added the ability to import and export those codes via a CSV file, allowing users to directly import or export new or adjusted rates from a CSV file, which has successfully reduced code maintenance tasks to an easy process that takes less than one-minute to complete. "By expanding our workers compensation codes to accommodate 9999 SIC codes per state, we are equipping our clients to handle the workers compensation needs of any business including employment agencies and pay as you go scenarios," said Ken Garen, President of UBCC. UBCC's import/export CSV file process makes the required rate change maintenance process easy. "Today, California lists 713 codes, which leads the nation in the number of workers compensation codes. By expanding our workers compensation codes we have enhanced UBCC software to allow our users the ability to handle any situation they may come across and which gives them a strategic advantage over their competitors," continued Garen. UBCC's workers compensation code expansion in payroll services technology is beneficial to all payroll service professionals, especially for those who process using dozens of workers compensation codes, or, for those who have clients that run a temporary employment agency, or an employee leasing company. "We are always looking for ways to increase efficiency and decrease time spent on menial tasks like code file maintenance," said Ria Botzler, Owner of Checks and Doublechecks, Albuquerque, NM. "Being able to import a CSV file and update codes in one-minute speeds the process for us and guarantees workers compensation rate accuracy in our payroll services," continued Botzler. "In today's changing marketplace, we often see the demand for efficiency in technology and services as the key driver for technology advancement," commented Garen. "Our workers compensation code expansion with the CSV import/export feature has made a great payroll service bureau software even better," continued Garen.
