Acumatica Opens Beta Program for the Next Generation of Project Accounting Software

Acumatica Cloud ERP 3.0 includes project accounting, automated inter-company transfers, and many more features delivered on-premise, hosted, or as SaaS.
BETHESDA, Md., October 12, 2011 – Acumatica, a provider of Cloud ERP software, today demonstrated the capabilities of and opened registration for its Project Accounting software. The Project Management module is part of Acumatica 3.0 and allows customers to separate business activities into projects with unique billing, budgeting, scheduling, revenue recognition, and reporting requirements. These features are attractive to professional service, marketing, software, construction, non-profit, and other businesses that need to maintain separate accounts for different activities.

The most important project management features include advanced billing based on completed tasks or completion percentage, integrated inventory, integrated timesheets, flexible budgeting, resource scheduling, and advanced revenue recognition. The Acumatica 3.0 release also includes: intercompany transactions and consolidation, centralized cash and payments, advanced dashboards, advanced replenishment, automated report generation, credit card address verification, advanced inquiries, dynamic security for order types, and much more.

“Project Management features are completely integrated with all Acumatica modules so project scheduling can include personnel, inventory, and manufacturing related expenses. Companies can track individual project statistics and still see company-level accounting, billing, inventory, sales, and budgets,” said Ali Jani, Vice President of Product Management at Acumatica. “The integration ensures that Acumatica’s advanced reporting, inquiries, and dashboards are available for all project related data.”

Acumatica’s project management software features were designed using expertise from CPA’s, ERP implementation specialists, and software developers with over 1,000 project accounting deployments. This expertise was gathered from Acumatica employees, partners, and current customers.
