INTEGRATED ELECTRICAL SERVICES CHOOSES FOREFRONT®

 
 
SEATTLE, April 25, 2001: Integrated Electrical Services, Inc. [NYSE: IEE], a leading national provider of electrical and communications services to the commercial and industrial, residential and service markets, today announced that it has selected Forefront® Enterprise Construction Management Software from Dexter + Chaney for use at each of its more than 150 locations. IES, based in Houston, recorded approximately $1.7 billion in fiscal year 2000 revenues.

IES will use Forefront Enterprise to run many day-to-day functions, including payroll, service management, accounting, human resources management, project management, inventory control, job cost and dispatch. The software connects IES offices and job sites via the Internet and frame relay and features flexible reporting; access to real-time information; and integrated fax, e-mail and document imaging.

Forefront Enterprise runs on an expandable Oracle database and plans to offer mobile computing applications for payroll/job cost and service, which will enable project managers to enter labor and equipment hours and review daily job cost information on their handheld, wireless organizers.

When installation of Forefront Enterprise is complete, projected for late 2002, more than 1,000 IES employees will be able to use Forefront concurrently. Six IES companies were using Forefront prior to the decision to install it corporate-wide.

IES selected Forefront Enterprise for its ability to smoothly integrate all the modules needed to manage the company?s varying business and financial needs. IES reviewed products from more than 50 software vendors against a broad range of business issues faced in electrical and communications services prior to deciding on Forefront Enterprise.
