MYOB launches new point-of-sale software range for retailers

MYOB Australia has expanded its range of MYOB RetailManager point-of-sale solutions and support to meet the needs of single-store owners through to multiple store operations and franchises.

The MYOB RetailManager suite of products - MYOB RetailManager Standard, MYOB RetailManager Professional and MYOB RetailManager Enterprise - can be set up to meet the requirements of any retail business and operate from a basic PC or purpose built POS machine.

"We recognise that retailers have diverse point-of-sale needs," said MYOB Australia General Manager, Andrew Fiori-Dea. "The MYOB RetailManager product range has been launched to give retailers a flexible and affordable point-of-sale system that can grow with them as their business needs change."

MYOB has also extended its support hours for retailers, providing 7 day a week support. Retailers can access MYOB Technical support when they need it most, including weekends and late night shopping hours.

The MYOB RetailManager product range is designed to replace the cash register with an efficient point-of-sale system that streamlines store operations.

MYOB RetailManager Standard helps retailers manage all their front-of-house operations - including sales, stock, GST, staff and customers - and provides critical information to improve store performance. It is designed for retailers across a range of industries including toy stores, giftware, furniture, appliances and bookshops.

MYOB RetailManager Professional has been designed for retailers with additional, specialised point-of-sale requirements including a scales interface, touch screen or pad till. MYOB RetailManager Professional is the ideal solution for fruit shops, grocery stores, supermarkets, fast food stores, butchers and cafes.

Retailers with multiple store locations can combine their MYOB RetailManager Standard or MYOB RetailManager Professional point-of-sale system with MYOB RetailManager Enterprise, which consolidates information from all stores to give retailers a centralised view of all their retail operations.

The MYOB RetailManager product range has been designed to meet retailers' specific needs, including:

Easy to use and understand - Sales staff can be taught the basics in minutes. For most transactions, the 'Enter' key is the only non-numeric key they need to use.

Ability to work away from the store - MYOB offers an optional remote site licence for retailers who prefer to do their store front maintenance after hours or away from the point-of-sale.

Link to MYOB accounting software - By linking MYOB RetailManager software with an MYOB accounting software package, retailers can save hours of bookkeeping and reconciliation time. MYOB accounting software can handle all the back office tasks such as paying the bills, payroll and lodging the BAS.

Training and on-site assistance - MYOB offers MYOB RetailManager Training courses to help retailers set-up their system and maximise the various business management features. A national network of MYOB RetailManager Professionals and MYOB RetailManager Consultants is also available to provide on-site support.

The MYOB RetailManager product range is available through MYOB RetailManager Professionals and MYOB RetailManager Consultants, as well as selected resellers across Australia.

The Estimated Retail Price for the product range is MYOB RetailManager Standard $1,990, MYOB RetailManager Professional $2,490, and the MYOB RetailManager Enterprise licence $1,990. A full-year enhancement and support plan is included with each product.
