Ghilotti Construction Company Chooses Dexter + Chaney’s Forefront® Construction Management Software to run many of it’s day-to-day operations.
nta Rosa CA-based heavy-highway/utility construction company, has chosen Forefront® Construction Management Software from Dexter + Chaney to run many of its day-to-day activities. Ghilotti Construction has purchased 15 of Forefront’s 29 integrated modules to help the company with payroll, accounting, job cost, remote computing, document imaging, equipment control, preventive maintenance and other activities.
Ghilotti Construction is well-known for its high-profile projects in Northern California for government, commercial and industrial customers, such as a renovation and upgrade of the Sears Point Raceway in Sonoma CA (sight-line improvements, a new straight-away section for NASCAR events, and a tunnel for pedestrians and vehicles under the new section). The family-owned-and-operated company, founded in 1914, employs more than 300 people who work on highway, bridge, utility, site remediation, paving and other jobs.
Ghilotti Construction also will use Forefront’s popular Document Imaging capability to give management, office staff and project managers the fast access they need to critical documents like AP invoices, change orders, payroll timecards, contracts and others.
“Forefront Document Imaging will speed up our AP-invoice approval process and enhance our ability to track the literally hundreds of payroll and time-and-materials-billing documents that are part of each job,” said Stacy Magill, Ghilotti Construction’s chief financial officer.
More than 2,500 total users at construction companies throughout the United States take advantage of Forefront Document Imaging, which is fully integrated with the contractor’s accounting, job costing, human resources and even project management software.
Ghilotti Construction chose Dexter + Chaney and Forefront following a lengthy review in which the company analyzed more than six vendors and their products. Initially, up to 20 Ghilotti Construction employees will be able to access Forefront simultaneously at multiple offices and job sites.
