DEXTER + CHANEY TO DEMONSTRATE NEWEST VERSION OF FOREFRONT AT NECA SHOW 2003
west version of its Forefront® Construction Management Software at the NECA Show 2003, October 2-4, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando (booth #301). Forefront Version 11 offers more than 550 new features, including a Human Resources module and an Inbox screen in Forefront’s Project Management software. Forefront’s popular Document Imaging capability, also on display at the NECA Show, already has more than 2,500 total users at construction companies throughout the United States.
The integrated Forefront Human Resources module automates the employee-management process in all areas of a construction business, from recruitment through retirement. Designed to meet the specific needs of construction companies, it handles such complex human resources issues as pay rates and benefits, safety, workers’ compensation, training, drug testing and skills certification. Human resources-related information is entered into Forefront only once and shared with Forefront’s other modules (Payroll, for example) as required.
The new Inbox screen in Forefront’s integrated Project Management software allows project members—including owners, architects, and project managers—to log on to Forefront and have an inbox display items the team needs to address for a specific project. Collaboration between the members occurs without faxing or e-mailing documents. From the inbox, users may view or print scanned documents and reply to RFIs, submittals, transmittals, memos or change requests. more Dexter + Chaney to Demonstrate Newest Version of ForefrontÒ at NECA Show 2003, page 2
Forefront Document Imaging is fully integrated with accounting, job costing, human resources and even project management software. Document Imaging addresses a typically painful problem for construction companies: giving management, office staff and project managers the fast access they need to important documents like AP invoices, change orders, payroll timecards, contracts and others.
Many new features have been added to Forefront’s Work Order module that are designed to increase the flexibility and ease-of-use to this already-dynamic work order and dispatching system. New features include document imaging access to work site maintenance, the ability to assign an unlimited number of technicians to a single work order, the addition of NotePad technology in work order entry to record unlimited comments, and enhancements to user-defined task setup. * * * More than 1,000 construction companies throughout the United States use Dexter + Chaney’s ForefrontÒ Construction Management Software. Forefront includes 29 integrated modules that handle accounting, jobs, project management, human resources, document imaging, remote connectivity and data sharing.
Forefront placed second out of 125 software packages (ranked according to the number of construction companies using each product) in the “2002 Information Technology Survey for the Construction Industry” by the industry group Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA). Significantly, Dexter + Chaney also placed first in the “Service Management” category. More than 2,500 total users make use of Forefront’s Document Imaging component, which addresses a typically painful problem for contracting firms: giving management, office staff and project managers the fast access they need to important documents like AP invoices, change orders, payroll timecards, contracts and others. Companies that use Forefront report they have improved profitability and have grown their businesses more than 200 percent without adding accounting staff.
